I had the best experience at the orthospaceship. They took great care of me over several years, after a lot of dental trauma from previous orthodontists and dentists claiming they knew how to help patients with TMJ. This has been a long time coming, but here it is. I have been a patient of Dr.Hakim for about 3 years now, give or take. Unfortunately, like a few others I didn't arrive at Orthospaceship because I just wanted to get my teeth straightened. I've had braces before so my teeth were straight, but a month or two before seeing Dr.Hakim I had gotten a filling on my molar and all hell broke loose. I was suffering through debilitating headaches, jaw fatigue, facial muscles fatigue, etc. Eventually my dentist referred me to Orthospaceship and after a consultation, Dr.Hakim let me know I had TMD. My particular situation warranted a two step plan. The first part was an orthotic treatment that had me wearing an orthotic (appears similar to a mouth guard but functions differently) and coming in every two weeks for adjustments until my bite sat correctly, and then I was moved onto braces to make everything permanent. After 2.5 years, the braces have finally been removed. We did go over the original "due date" but that was fine with me. It's more of an estimate and I'm glad it wasn't rushed. In that time, however, I can not stress how helpful and understanding everyone was. I can't speak for anyone else's experience,  but I messaged them all the time about one issue or another, and they were great at getting back to me and if necessary, getting me in just as quick. Now I can't say all my TMD issues have been resolved, but the situation has definitely gotten better and they do let you know that it's not always a guaranteed fix. My advice to anyone who's on the fence about starting treatment in is don't be afraid to get a second opinion, and be communicative. My one regret was not getting a second opinion, and not because I'm unhappy with the results, but because I spent a few anxious weeks wondering if the treatment was going to work. As for communication, please ask questions or communicate your concerns. The doctors are great at explaining anything you want to know, and I never once felt like I was inconveniencing them or taking up too much of their time. That being said, my teeth look amazing. I will say that price wise you are looking a bit more on the higher end, but in this case I will say you get what you pay for.

My experience here has been amazing! Dr. Chantal and Dr. Isaac Hakim are truly the best at what they do. They have an amazing staff who are very caring and gentle, and very friendly. I never doubted their expertise for a sec! They worked close with my primary dentist and were always transparent about what the next steps would be.
